The mecha in question is Laevatein, a 4th? generation arm slave from the novel Full Metal Panic! Since there is virtually no artwork for this machine, I had to base myself upon some really bad official sketchs, especially for the design of the Howitzer mode.
The main reason I did this piece was because of its awesomeness. Also, I liked the idea of an Arm Slave carrying a non-AS weapon, a.k.a. the Demolition Gun, given that the Lambda Driver (mysterious engine that gives the mecha heightened abilities) must be active in order to use in in Howitzer mode. Overall, its design also impressed me a lot, since it manages to cram a lot of detail in it, while maintaining its aesthetical value and making it look even stronger.
Well, it's intended to be the 'upgrade' of the Arbalest... so even tho the spoilers say it's not derived from that machine, it still resembles it a lot

This the reason why I fell in love with this mech.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
